Background: Health advocacy is crucial for both patients and healthcare professionals. However, nurses who recognize the importance of health advocacy may experience heightened moral distress, particularly in complex donation and transplantation cases where patient autonomy, respect, and advocacy are paramount.

Aim: To identify the factors contributing to moral distress among nurses working in solid organ transplant units at a university hospital in São Paulo, with a focus on health advocacy.

The ability to track disease without tissue biopsy in patients is a major goal in biology and medicine. Here, we identify and characterize cardiomyocyte-derived extracellular vesicles in circulation (EVs; "cardiovesicles") through comprehensive studies of induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, genetic mouse models, and state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and low-input transcriptomics. These studies identified two markers (, ) enriched on cardiovesicles for biotinylated antibody-based immunocapture.

The CC chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6) is a potential target for chronic inflammatory diseases. Previously, we reported an active CCR6 structure in complex with its cognate chemokine CCL20, revealing the molecular basis of CCR6 activation. Here, we present two inactive CCR6 structures in ternary complexes with different allosteric antagonists, CCR6/SQA1/OXM1 and CCR6/SQA1/OXM2.

DNA polymerase θ (Pol θ or POLQ) is primarily involved in repairing double-stranded breaks in DNA through an alternative pathway known as microhomology-mediated end joining (MMEJ) or theta-mediated end joining (TMEJ). Unlike other DNA repair polymerases, Pol θ is thought to be highly error-prone yet critical for cell survival. We have identified several POLQ gene variants from human melanoma tumors that experience altered DNA polymerase activity, including a propensity for incorrect nucleotide selection and reduced polymerization rates compared to WT Pol θ.

This paper presents a new approach called EmbedHDP, which aims to enhance the evaluation models utilized for assessing sentence suggestions in nursing care record applications. The primary objective is to determine the alignment of the proposed evaluation metric with human evaluators who are caregivers. It is crucial due to the direct relevance of the provided provided to the health or condition of the elderly.
