In this study, we report the successful synthesis and thorough characterization of Eu-doped NaBaLaNbO phosphors, targeting their application in white-light-emitting diodes (w-LEDs). The phosphors were synthesized using a high-temperature solid-state method, ensuring robust incorporation of Eu ions into the host lattice. Comprehensive analyses were performed, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, confirming the phase purity, crystallinity, morphology, and elemental composition of the phosphors.

We present a rare case of a solitary intracranial plasmacytoma of the brain parenchyma in a 49-year-old female who presented with neck pain/headache, paresthesias, and auditory hallucinations. A workup revealed a solitary left parietal lobe brain lesion and a biopsy demonstrated a plasma cell infiltrate consistent with an extramedullary plasmacytoma. A complete workup for multiple myeloma was negative.

Introduction: First-line systemic therapy (ST) options for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) include tyrosine kinase inhibitors and immunotherapy (IO). Evolving data suggest prolonged overall survival (OS) when ST is combined with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), although evidence is significantly limited in HCC populations. We hypothesized that advanced HCC patients in the National Cancer Database (NCDB) would have improved OS when receiving ST+SBRT vs ST alone.

Preclinical evidence suggests that responses to IO may be potentiated via immunomodulatory effects of stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT).
