Objective: Despite legislative reform to promote less restrictive treatment options, the rates of involuntary psychiatric treatment in Queensland, Australia continue to rise. This paper aims to investigate mental health clinicians' perspectives of reasons behind the high and increasing rates of involuntary psychiatric treatment in Queensland.

Method: Qualitative methodology was used to explore clinician perspectives by facilitating two face-to-face focus groups.

Hypertension, a key modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVD), significantly contributes to premature death and morbidity worldwide. Despite stabilization in age-adjusted global prevalence, the absolute number of hypertensive individuals doubled from 2000 to 2010, largely due to increases in low- and middle-income countries. In 2021, only 21% of hypertensive individuals globally had effective blood pressure (BP) control.

Background: The hospital environment is a complex and unpredictable workplace where different providers share the responsibility of patient care.
