Objectives: Post-acute heart failure (HF) care presents significant management challenges, particularly among veterans with cognitive and behavioral impairments due to Alzheimer disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) or severe mental illness (SMI). We hypothesized that comorbid AD/ADRD and SMI would reduce the likelihood of discharge home following HF hospitalization. In addition, we explored how AD/ADRD and SMI influence discharge to Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Living Centers (CLCs) compared with Medicare Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).

Purpose: To compare the contrast media opacification and diagnostic quality in lower-extremity runoff CT angiography (CTA) between bolus-tracking using conventional fixed trigger delay and patient-specific individualized post-trigger delay.

Methods: In this prospective study, lower-extremity runoff CTA was performed in two cohorts, using either fixed or individualized trigger delay. Both cohorts had identical CT protocols, contrast media applications, and image reconstructions.

Objective: To identify children with neonatal short bowel syndrome with intestinal failure and to determine whether race, ethnicity, and neighborhood opportunity are associated with length of stay during their initial hospitalizations.
