Therapy with pegylated interferon alpha (pegIFNα) can induce a deep molecular response in a subset of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). Here we investigated the role of Socs2, a negative regulator of cytokine signaling, in modulating the response to pegIFNα in a JAK2-V617F mouse model of MPN. Deleting Socs2 in JAK2-V617F mice resulted in increased sensitivity to cytokines, without causing significant alterations in the MPN phenotype.

Due to the remoteness and difficulty of surveying Antarctic waters, it remains one of the least-studied dolphin species. A recent stranding of an hourglass dolphin represented a rare opportunity to generate a genome assembly as a resource for future study into the conservation and evolutionary biology of this species.

This solution facilitates the manipulation of complex mass spectrometry data, including ion mobility or other additional dimensions, enabling potential integration into efficient and open-source workflows.
Availability And Implementation: arcMS is an open-source R package and is available on GitHub at https://github.
Background: The role of PET-CT with [F]fluorodeoxyglucose ([F]FDG) and [F]fluorocholine ([F]FCH) in staging hepatocellular carcinoma and treatment decisions has, to our knowledge, never been prospectively assessed.
Methods: We conducted a multicentre prospective study (PET-HCC01) in nine hospitals in France, including patients aged 18 years or older with a first diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma classified as Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) classification A to C (without metastasis). At study inclusion, patients underwent contrast-enhanced liver MRI and liver, chest, and pelvis CT scans.
Background: Maternal immunization is a valuable public health measure protecting the mother, fetus and newborn infant against targeted infectious diseases, playing an integral role in pregnancy outcomes. Limited literature exists from the African continent pertaining to the timing and utilization of maternal influenza and tetanus toxoid immunization. Maintaining high vaccine coverage is imperative for successful disease control, highlighting the importance of continued maternal immunization.
