Terbium-157 was radiochemically extracted from an irradiated tantalum target. Since the resulting material contained a significant impurity of Tb, Tb was isotopically purified using laser resonance ionization at the RISIKO mass separator in Mainz and then implanted on an aluminum (Al) foil. The implanted Tb was measured by two different calibrated gamma-ray spectrometers to determine photon emission rates.

Scanning of the incident electron energy allows the determination of the appearance thresholds of the cations. The vertical ionization potential was found to be in good agreement with previous data.

The linear response and angular dependence, which satisfies the ISO 21909 standard makes their application possible in neutron dosimetry. The polymer CR-39 track detectors remain one of the most used dosimeters where neutron radiations are to be measured, but the visualization process is time consuming.

This entity comprises carcinoïd tumors and poorly differentiated neuroendocrine tumors, mainly those of the small-cell type. Large-cell-type primitive tumors are exceptional, and only nine cases are reported in the literature.

Palladium-103 decays through electron capture to excited levels of Rh, and especially to the 39.748-keV metastable state. A high activity palladium chloride solution was standardized by liquid scintillation, using the Triple-to-Double Coincidence Ratio method.
