The corticospinal tract (CST) facilitates skilled, precise movements, which necessitates that subcerebral projection neurons (SCPN) establish segmentally specific connectivity with brainstem and spinal circuits. Developmental molecular delineation enables prospective identification of corticospinal neurons (CSN) projecting to thoraco-lumbar spinal segments; however, it remains unclear whether other SCPN subpopulations in developing sensorimotor cortex can be prospectively identified in this manner. Such molecular tools could enable investigations of SCPN circuitry with precision and specificity.

In particular, the Sleeping Beauty (SB) DNA transposon has advanced into clinical trials due to its ability to stably integrate DNA sequences of choice into eukaryotic genomes. The efficiency of the DNA transposon system depends on the interaction between the transposon DNA and the transposase enzyme that facilitates gene transfer.

When the injury is graded as type III or higher in the Rockwood classification, surgical treatment can be proposed. However, an increasing number of practitioners are shifting back to conservative treatment as it is associated with fewer complications and seemingly close functional outcomes.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the frequency and localization of inflammatory and structural lesions on MRIs of the sacroiliac joint of spondyloarthritis (SpA) and non-spondyloarthritis (non-SpA) patients.
Background: The global population is ageing, and rates of multimorbidity and chronic illness are rapidly rising. Given specialist palliative care has been shown to improve overall care and reduce health care costs, how best to provide this care to older people is internationally significant.
Aim: To examine the knowledge, attitudes and practices of geriatricians in providing palliative care and working with specialist palliative care services.
