Fucoidan from Apostichopus japonicus (Aj-FUC) has shown anti-inflammatory activity, whereas its mechanism was not explicated. This study investigated the anti-inflammatory potential and mechanism of the fucoidan from green and purple A. japonicus (G-FUC and P-FUC) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated RAW264.

Grip strength, a predictor of stress urinary incontinence after endoscopic enucleation of the prostate for benign prostate hyperplasia.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between the grip strength (GS) and stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after endoscopic enucleation of the prostate (EEP).

Methods: We retrospectively collected 87 patients who underwent EEP at our center from January to December 2023. The associations between GS and post-surgical SUI at immediate, 1, 4, 12 and 24 weeks were analyzed.

Coaching for improving clinical performance of surgeons: a scoping review.

Surgical coaching has been proven to effectively enhance clinical performance. However, diverse implementation strategies present challenges when initiating new programs. Our scoping review aimed to synthesize the existing literature on surgical coaching, thereby informing the direction of future coaching initiatives.

The long-term development outcomes of the offspring born to patients with systemic lupus erythematosus: a cross-sectional study.

This study aims to explore the long-term physical, neurological, social and emotional development outcomes of the offspring born to patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and to provide insights that can assist pediatricians in enhancing the long-term prognosis of these children. We conducted a cross-sectional study on the offspring of SLE patients who had undergone pregnancy and were admitted to our obstetrics department between January 1, 2016 and September 30, 2021. The control group consisted of offspring born to mothers without connective tissue disease, and was matched 1:1 based on age (birth date ± 1 month) with the offspring of SLE patients.
