Impact of Scanner Manufacturer, Endorectal Coil Use, and Clinical Variables on Deep Learning-assisted Prostate Cancer Classification Using Multiparametric MRI.

Purpose To assess the impact of scanner manufacturer and scan protocol on the performance of deep learning models to classify prostate cancer (PCa) aggressiveness on biparametric MRI (bpMRI). Materials and Methods In this retrospective study, 5,478 cases from ProstateNet, a PCa bpMRI dataset with examinations from 13 centers, were used to develop five deep learning (DL) models to predict PCa aggressiveness with minimal lesion information and test how using data from different subgroups-scanner manufacturers and endorectal coil (ERC) use (Siemens, Philips, GE with and without ERC and the full dataset)-impacts model performance. Performance was assessed using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC).

Littré hernia is the rare protrusion of a Meckel's diverticulum (MD) through a hernia sac. We present a rare case of strangulated MD in a woman patient in her 90s, which required a small intestine resection. She presented with 1 day of groin swelling, no features of bowel obstruction and an irreducible hernia on examination.

Minimizing for Maximum Benefit: An Illustrative Case-Series of Atrial Only Leadless Pacing.

Leadless pacing technology now includesdedicated atrial helix-fixation leadless pacemakers (LPs), expanding theapplication of leadless devices for patients with sinus node dysfunction andatrioventricular block during sinus rhythm. This first reportedcase-series of atrial LPs describes and discusses the potential use-casescenarios of recently approved helix-fixation atrial LPs. Impact of hospital lead extraction volume on management of cardiac implantable electronic device-associated infective endocarditis.

Aims: Utilization of transvenous lead extraction/removal (TLE) for the management of cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED)-associated infective endocarditis (IE) remains low. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of hospital TLE procedural volume on TLE utilization and outcomes for patients with CIED-associated IE.

Methods And Results: Using the Nationwide Readmissions Database, we evaluated 21 545 admissions for patients (mean age 70 years, 39% female) with CIEDs hospitalized with IE at TLE centres.
