Introduction: Mental health problems are the most significant cause of disability and have high annual economic costs; hence, they are a priority for the government, service providers and policymakers. Consisting of largely coastal and rural communities, the populations of Norfolk and Suffolk, UK, have elevated burdens of mental health problems, areas with high levels of deprivation and an increasing migrant population. However, these communities are underserved by research and areas with the greatest mental health needs are not represented or engaged in research.

While H-H J-couplings are the cornerstone of all spectral assignment methods in solution-state NMR, they are yet to be observed in solids. Here we observe H-H J-couplings in plastic crystals of (1S)-(-)-camphor in solid-state NMR at magic angle spinning (MAS) rates of 100 kHz and above. This is enabled in this special case because the intrinsic coherence lifetimes at fast MAS rates become longer than the inverse of the H-H J couplings.

As part of a FrameWorks-informed project to test framing approaches to improve public understanding and support for evidence-based alcohol policies in the UK, this research aimed to (i) summarise relevant evidence; (ii) compare how public understanding of alcohol harms differs from those of academic and charity experts; and (iii) develop novel framing approaches.
Methods: (1) a literature review including systematic, scoping and targeted components to understand previous evidence on effective framing from behaviour change, UK alcohol policy and FrameWorks literatures; (2) comparison of public views of alcohol harms and policies from four focus groups (n = 20) with those of public health experts; (3) an iterative process involving workshops and stakeholder consultation to develop 12 novel framing approaches.
Purpose: Furosemide is the most commonly used diuretic in intensive care units (ICU). We aimed to evaluate the physiological effects of adjunctive acetazolamide with furosemide on diuresis and the prevention of potential furosemide-induced metabolic alkalosis.
Materials And Methods: We performed a two-center, pilot, open-label, randomized trial.
