External influences over Senegalese health financing policy: delaying universal health coverage?

Senegal has long sought solutions to achieve universal health coverage (UHC). However, in a context dependent on international aid, the country faces multiple external pressures to choose policy instruments. In this commentary, we propose an analysis of this influence.

Towards an integrated surveillance of zoonotic diseases in Burkina Faso: the case of anthrax.

Background: Anthrax is a zoonotic disease that causes frequent outbreaks in livestock and fatal human cases in Burkina Faso. Increased insulin receptor number and insulin responsiveness in a chicken hepatoma cell line.

Insulin receptor number and insulin responsiveness were compared in a chicken hepatoma cell line (LMH) and in normal chicken hepatocyte (cHep) cells cultured in the same conditions. LMH cells expressed two- to threefold more insulin receptors than cHep cells, without significant changes in affinity.
