Cornea is an essential element of our eye. The refractive power of the cornea is closely related to its shape, which depends on the balance between its mechanical properties and the intraocular pressure. However, in keratoconus, the shape of the cornea is altered, and the mechanical properties (i.

Numerous techniques are proposed with mixed results. Partial decellularization of the trachea with the removal of the mucosal and submucosal cells is a promising method, reducing immunogenicity while preserving the biomechanical properties of the final matrix.

Quantitative HBsAg and HBV-DNA assays were performed against international standards to compare the ratio between potential infectious HBV virions and subviral HBsAg particles in Egyptian HBsAg-positive blood donors as well as in Japanese chimpanzee samples of known infectivity. HBV-DNA load below the quantification limit of detection was estimated against a reference standard by replicate NAT testing (n = 25).

This lack of osteointegration is due to the foreign body response (FBR) that occurs after the implantation of biodevices. The process begins with protein adsorption, which is governed by implant surface properties, e.
