Background: Some institutions have implemented rapid MRI protocols for acute musculoskeletal (MSK) infections as an attempt to improve early diagnosis.

Objective: To assess current utilization of pediatric rapid MSK MRI protocols (abbreviated protocol, no IV (intravenous) contrast, and no sedation) using a survey.

Materials And Methods: A 10-question survey was sent to members of the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR) and the Society of Skeletal Radiology, which differed depending on whether a rapid protocol was used or not.

Purpose: Osseointegration-associated infections are a critical barrier to widespread implementation of osseointegrated (OI) prosthetics. To address this challenge, a preclinical animal model must exist of the human model to test potential interventions. In this article, we describe a novel rabbit model of OI implant-related infection that can act as a platform for rapid translation and development of therapeutic approaches to combat these uniquely challenging infections.

Objective: This study sought to evaluate the distinct impact of fetal exposure to gestational diabetes (GDM) severity, as well as the impact of infant breastfeeding (BF) and sugary beverage intake, on preadolescent overweight and obesity, accounting for other established risk factors.

Methods: This analysis included 850 mother-infant dyads exposed to GDM who reported monthly infant BF duration and intensity, as well as sugary beverage intake (sugar-sweetened beverages [SSB] and 100% fruit juice [FJ]) during the first year of life, BMI measured at ages 6 to 11 years, and GDM severity variables (i.e.

Cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) has the potential to capture snapshots of proteins in motion and generate hypotheses linking conformational states to biological function. This potential has been increasingly realized by the advent of machine learning models that allow 100s-1,000s of 3D density maps to be generated from a single dataset. How to identify distinct structural states within these volume ensembles and quantify their relative occupancies remain open questions.
