Objectives: Limited data are available on central nervous system (CNS) efficacy with standard-of-care therapies for KRAS-mutated (KRASmut) advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The objective of this study was to investigate the incidence and progression of brain metastases in KRASmut advanced NSCLC treated with docetaxel using pooled data from historical clinical trials.

While some agricultural landscapes can support wildlife in the short term, it is uncertain how well they can truly sustain wildlife populations. To compare population trends in different production systems, we sampled birds along 48 transects in mature forests, diversified farms, and intensive farms across Costa Rica from 2000 to 2017. To assess how land use influenced population trends in the 349 resident and 80 migratory species with sufficient data, we developed population models.

The mosquito midgut is an important site for bloodmeal regulation while also acting as a primary site for pathogen exposure within the mosquito. Recent studies show that exposure to dehydrating conditions alters mosquito bloodfeeding behaviors as well as post-feeding regulation, likely altering how pathogens interact with the mosquito. Unfortunately, few studies have explored the underlying dynamics between dehydration and bloodmeal utilization, and the overall impact on disease transmission dynamics remains veiled.

Preeclampsia is a serious condition responsible for much pregnancy-related morbidity and mortality. Diagnosis of preeclampsia is difficult due to the non-specific and subjective nature of symptoms of the disease. To reduce the subjective decision making and management of preeclampsia, we identified a panel of biomarkers representing multiple and different pathogenic pathways implicated in the etiology of preeclampsia, and developed a test referred to as Preecludia™.
