Hexachlorocyclohexanes (HCH) isomers and their transformation products, such as chlorobenzenes (ClB), generate severe and persistent environmental problems at many sites worldwide. The Wetland technology employing oxidation-reduction, biosorption, biodegradation and phytoremediation methods can sufficiently treat HCH-contaminated water. The treatment process is inherently natural and requires no supplementary chemicals or energy.

Layered ternary TiSnC carbides have attracted significant attention because of their advantage as a M2AX phase to bridge the gap between properties of metals and ceramics. In this study, TiSnC materials were synthesized by two different methods-an unconventional low-energy ion facility (LEIF) based on Ar ion beam sputtering of the Ti, Sn, and C targets and sintering of a compressed mixture consisting of Ti, Sn, and C elemental powders up to 1250 °C. The TiSnC nanocrystalline thin films obtained by LEIF were irradiated by Ar ions with an energy of 30 keV to the fluence of 1.

Among other things, passive methods based on the processing of images of feature points or beacons captured by an image sensor are used to measure the relative position of objects. At least two cameras usually have to be used to obtain the required information, or the cameras are combined with other sensors working on different physical principles. This paper describes the principle of passively measuring three position coordinates of an optical beacon using a simultaneous method and presents the results of corresponding experimental tests.
