Small intestine neuroendocrine tumours (SI-NETs) are often diagnosed late with a UK median of 3 years and high misdiagnosis rates. Previous studies, largely based on patient surveys, offer little data on improving diagnosis. In 2017, the South Wales NET service underwent a nationally commissioned, systematic transformation, aiming to improve diagnosis through the development of a gastroenterology and surgical referral network, and education of these specialities.

We report a 46-year-old male patient with retinocytoma who presented at the age of 31 asymptomatically. An intraocular retinal mass was incidentally found in his right eye, when he underwent ophthalmological assessment for refractive surgery. This tumor consisted of a calcified sessile basis partially covered by a pedunculated salmon-pink growth.

Objective: The increasing prevalence of liver disease in the UK means there is a pressing need to expand the hepatology workforce. This survey aims to evaluate current hepatology training provision, and trainee attitudes towards future careers in hepatology.
Method: An electronic survey was distributed to higher specialty gastroenterology and hepatology trainees in the UK between March and May 2022.
Intraocular medulloepithelioma is a rare embryonal tumor that is believed to arise from the epithelium of the medullary tube. We report a 37-year-old female with medulloepithelioma presented at the age of 17 with a one-month history of left-sided visual deterioration and visible iris lesion. Birth history and medical and family histories were insignificant.

This study investigates the role of the fundus autofluorescence (AF) in differentiating RS, RRD and RSRD.
Methods: Fundus AF changes of 34 eyes diagnosed with RRD, 30 eyes with RS and 12 eyes with RSRD were retrospectively analysed.
