- Nearly all respondents (100%) believe that interventions to enhance HRQOL are essential, but only 5% currently use validated HRQOL assessment tools.
- Most clinicians reported limited knowledge of behavioral interventions, such as peer coaching and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), yet a significant majority expressed a desire to educate patients about these methods and reinforce them post-treatment.
This study compared the impact of 2 pasture-based feeding systems, namely a traditional perennial ryegrass (PRG) diet, and a recently introduced, more sustainable multispecies swards (MSS) diet, on the functional lipid profile of raw milk. In addition to the 2 pasture diets, the study uniquely examined the combined effects of breed, namely Holstein-Friesian (HF) or Jersey Holstein-Friesian (JFX), and lactation stage in Ireland, spanning from March to November. Bulk milk samples (n = 144 yearly) for the 4 groups examined were collected for 4 weeks per each of the 9 mo specified.

Background/objective: Leishmaniasis is the second deadliest parasitic disease in the world, after malaria, with an estimated 1.6 million new cases each year. While cutaneous leishmaniasis can result in permanent scars from lesions after treatment, the mucocutaneous and visceral diseases can result in life-altering and life-threatening complications.

Introduction: Social determinants of health (SDOH) are an important contributor to health status and health outcomes. In this analysis, we compare SDOH measured both at the individual and population levels in patients with high comorbidity who receive primary care at Federally Qualified Health Centers in New York and Chicago and enrolled in the Tipping Points trial.
Methods: We analyzed individual- and population-level measures of SDOH in 1,488 patients with high comorbidity (Charlson Comorbidity Index ≥ 4) enrolled in Tipping Points.
