Background And Objectives: To determine the action of immunoglobulin Y (IgY) on supragingival microbiota and on subgingival microbiota in patients with gingivitis and periodontitis through microbial reduction assay.

Methodology: 40 systemically healthy patients were divided into two groups (gingivitis and periodontitis) with 20 patients per group. Supragingival and subgingival plaque samples were collected from each patient in Group I and Group II, respectively.

Taxonomic profiling of microbial communities is essential to model microbial interactions and inform habitat conservation. This work develops approaches in constructing training/testing data sets from publicly available marine metagenomes and evaluates the performance of machine learning (ML) approaches in read-based taxonomic classification of marine metagenomes. Predictions from two models are used to test accuracy in metagenomic classification and to guide improvements in ML approaches.

Gauri Kapoor  The survival of children with cancer has improved owing to advances in chemotherapy and better supportive care, and nutritional support is an important component of the latter especially in low- and middle-income countries like India.  A prospective observational study of 137 newly diagnosed children with cancer aged less than 18 years was planned. Nutritional assessment was done using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), anthropometry, and serum albumin.

Objective: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has demonstrated benefits in managing inpatient diabetes. We initiated this single-arm pilot feasibility study during the COVID-19 pandemic in 11 patients with diabetes to determine the feasibility and accuracy of real-time CGM in patients who underwent cardiac surgery and whose care was being transitioned from the intensive care unit.

Methods: A Clarke error grid analysis was used to compare CGM and point-of-care measurements.
