The study evaluated the short-term effectiveness and tolerability of vigabatrin therapy in children with infantile epileptic spasms syndrome (IESS). Children with IESS were enrolled within two weeks of initiation of vigabatrin and prospectively followed up to 12 wk for complete cessation of epileptic spasms (ES) and occurrence of adverse events. Of 107 children studied, there was a preponderance of structural etiology (82.

We tried to explore the utility of synthetic MRI derived relaxometry parameters in evaluation of ring enhancing lesions of brain.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective study.
In this Letter, we present an all-fiber bismuth (Bi)-doped germanosilicate fiber laser that is continuously tunable within the range of 1425-1475 nm, enabled by a tunable optical filter. A maximum output power of 86.4 mW was achieved at 1450 nm with a slope efficiency of 13.

The repair of PQ is often difficult, and its durability is questionable; hence, preserving the PQ while volar plating distal radius fractures is advocated. Methods In this prospective randomised trial, 60 patients with a fracture of the distal end of the radius of AO-type (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen) 23 A2, A3, B1, B3, C1, and C2 were treated with volar plate fixation using either the PQ-releasing and repair approach (Group A, n = 30) or the PQ-sparing approach (Group B, n = 30), allowed by simple randomisation.

An alternative approach is via video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), although reports of this technique are limited to the use of catheter-based technologies for radiofrequency ablation delivery.
Case Summary: A 55-year-old man with non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy presented with recurrent VT despite medical therapy.
