Purpose: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is safe and effective for preventing HPV-related diseases. However, HPV vaccination rates in Japan are low because the "Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare" had stopped recommending vaccination. We assessed healthcare workers' (HCWs) current recommendations regarding the HPV vaccine and how the provision of information about HPV vaccination affected their recommendations.

We report a rare case of metastatic small intestine cancer originating from penile cancer triggered by intestinal obstruction, with some review of the literature. The case was a 78-year-old man at the first visit. Partial penile resection was performed for penile cancer.

Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate-nick end labeling or the TUNEL assay is an important technique in the assessment of DNA damage. Semen samples are routinely assessed microscopically to assess their fertilization ability. In addition to routine semen analysis, the use of the TUNEL assay can provide information on the level of DNA damage present within a sample.
