Unlabelled: The outer membrane (OM) of Gram-negative bacteria is the outermost layer of the cell and serves as permeability barrier against environmental toxins, including antibiotics. The OM is built by several pathways that transport and assemble lipids and proteins into the OM. Since the OM is an essential organelle for the cell, envelope stress responses (ESRs) continuously monitor its assembly to preserve viability if defects arise.

Cognitive states like motor imagery (MI; simulating actions without overtly executing them) share a close correspondence with action execution, and hence, activate the motor system in a similar way. However, as people age, reduction in specific cognitive abilities like motor action simulation and action planning/prediction are commonly experienced. The present study examined the effect of visual-spatial processing for both typical and challenging upper-limb movements using the Hand Laterality Judgment Task (HLJT), in which participants were asked to judge whether the depicted hand is a left or right hand.

Population-level analyses are inherently complex due to a myriad of latent confounding effects that underlie the interdisciplinary topics of research interest. Despite the mounting demand for generative population models, the limited generalizability to underrepresented groups hinders their widespread adoption in downstream applications. Interpretability and reliability are essential for clinicians and policymakers, while accuracy and precision are prioritized from an engineering standpoint.

Our genetic makeup, together with environmental and social influences, shape our brain's development. Yet, the imaging genetics field has struggled to integrate all these modalities to investigate the interplay between genetic blueprint, environment, human health, daily living skills and outcomes. Hence, we interrogated the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) cohort to outline the effects of rare high-effect genetic variants on brain architecture and corresponding implications on cognitive, behavioral, psychosocial, and socioeconomic traits.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a global public health issue that has grave physical and mental health consequences for millions of women. The judicial system plays a critical role in responding to IPV principally through the criminal justice system, family law, and/or child welfare jurisdictions. However, victims/survivors who interact with the legal system report negative experiences.
