Hallux valgus (HV) presents as a common forefoot deformity that causes problems with pain, mobility, footwear, and quality of life. The most common open correction used in the UK is the Scarf and Akin osteotomy, which has good clinical and radiological outcomes and high levels of patient satisfaction when used to treat a varying degrees of deformity. However, there are concerns regarding recurrence rates and long-term outcomes.

Despite the high incidence of ankle OA, research into early detection using imaging remains sparse.
Objectives: To identify the incidence of OA on postoperative imaging in adults with unstable ankle fractures after a minimum follow-up of 3 years with a correlation to patient reported outcomes.
Introduction/purpose: Research on midfoot injuries have primarily concentrated on the central column and the Lisfranc ligament without amassing evidence on lateral column injuries. Classically lateral column injuries were treated with Kirschner wire fixation. Our aim was to analyse midfoot lateral column injuries and their methods of treatment.
