Premature Calcification of Costochondral Cartilage: A Scoping Review of the Literature.

Premature costochondral calcification is a rare finding occurring in young patients and is associated with metabolic and endocrinological conditions. Significant heterogeneity exists with regard to its definition and assessment. This scoping review aimed to summarize the prevalence, risk factors, etiology, evaluation, and management of patients with premature costochondral calcification.

Family adversity and co-occurring pain, psychological, and somatic symptom trajectories from late childhood through early adolescence.

This study examined the relative impact of earlier versus proximal childhood exposures to family adversities (parental health problems, family conflict, financial hardship, abuse, violence) and supportive caregiving (warm and supportive parenting behaviors) on youths' symptom trajectories across early adolescence. We used parent-reported survey data to differentiate co-occurring Pain, Psychological, and Somatic Symptom (Pain-PSS) trajectories among youth in the longitudinal Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study® (2016-2022). Family adversities and supportive caregiving were derived from youth and parent surveys and coded as occurring earlier (by age 9-11yrs; baseline) or proximally (occurring during study follow-up years 1-4; by age 11-15yrs).

Dosimetric comparison between laterality-specific and general knowledge-based planning models for nonsmall cell lung cancer.

To investigate the dosimetric impact of laterality-specific RapidPlan models for nonsmall cell lung cancer. Three RapidPlan models were developed and validated for Right, Left, and General conventional lung radiotherapy. Each model was trained using 50 plans.

Evolution of Postpandemic Nurse Orientation Through an Academic-Practice Partnership.

An academic-practice partnership engaged in redesigning the postpandemic orientation process for newly hired nurses in a large academic health system. Results from needs assessments and collaboration efforts informed the orientation program redesign, and the National Implementation Research Network framework guided project development. The orientation redesign aimed to enhance efficiency, readiness for unit-specific orientation, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Impact of neonatal sepsis on neurocognitive outcomes: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Sepsis is associated with neurocognitive impairment among preterm neonates but less is known about term neonates with sepsis. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to provide an update of neurocognitive outcomes including cognitive delay, visual impairment, auditory impairment, and cerebral palsy, among neonates with sepsis.

Methods: We performed a systematic review of PubMed, Embase, CENTRAL and Web of Science for eligible studies published between January 2011 and March 2023.
