Frontal Sinus Volume in Normocephalic Nonsyndromic Sagittal Craniosynostosis: A Comparative Study.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate frontal sinus volume as a potential indicator of cranial compensatory growth in unoperated normocephalic nonsyndromic sagittal craniosynostosis (NNSC) patients compared with age-matched and sex-matched controls. Previous studies have suggested that frontal sinus volume is suppressed in unoperated craniosynostosis and may be an intracranial space conservation phenomenon.

Methods: Head computed tomographies (CTs) from 22 unoperated NNSC patients at our institution were utilized in this study and matched with age-matched and sex-matched control subjects.

Pseudotumoural optic neuritis in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease in children: Pseudotumoural optic neuritis in MOG antibody-associated disease.

Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is a neuro-inflammatory condition affecting adults and children. The presentations vary and include acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, optic neuritis or transverse myelitis. Optic neuritis associated with anti-MOG antibodies is typically bilateral, anterior and initially severe but usually resolves quickly and completely.

An Eye on Efficiency: A Quality Improvement Project to Increase Ophthalmology Equipment in the Accident and Emergency Department.

Introduction Ophthalmology presentations contribute significantly to Accident and Emergency (A&E) attendance. The provision of safe care depends on clinical skills and appropriate equipment.
