[Translation and validation of the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) into Spanish in Chile].

Introduction: The assessment of frailty is crucial for the management and care of older adults. The Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) has been proposed as a useful and practical tool for this assessment, but its implementation requires translation and validation to the specific cultural context.

Methods: A standardized process of translation and cultural adaptation of the CFS in its second version was carried out.

This publication reports a facile and convenient preparation of tri--acetyl-glucopyranoses, derived from the corresponding 2-deoxyaminosugar, where the vicinal anomeric and C2 positions are decorated by azido and (thio)ureido groups, respectively. This double functionalization leads to an inherently chiral core incorporating the versatile azido and (thio)ureido linkages prone to further manipulation. The latter also provides a structural element for hydrogen-bonded donor-acceptor (HB-DA) sites, which are of immense value in organocatalytic pursuits.

Evolution of research on air emissions from agricultural activities: A comprehensive review.

Air pollutant emissions from the agricultural sector are among the most critical issues affecting human health and the environment. This sector releases a complex mixture of biological, microbial, and inorganic contaminants into the air from land preparation, crop production, fertilization, harvesting, biomass burning, machinery use, livestock production, manure management, waste management, and deforestation. This article aims to identify the evolution and global research trends related to air contaminant emissions, specifically from the agricultural sector.

Objective: Autologous rib harvest with manual framework production is the current gold standard for microtia reconstruction. Recent clinical success with implantation of cadaveric costal cartilage grafts opens the possibility of point of care auricular framework production. This paper assesses the feasibility and efficiency of 3D milling of cadaveric costal cartilage for auricular framework production.
