Soy protein hydrolysates enhance integral viable cell density (IVCD) and recombinant protein production (Immunoglobulin, IgG) in cell cultures, but their functionality varies from batch-to-batch. This is undesirable since it affects both quantity and characteristics of the recombinant proteins. It is hypothesized that the variability of hydrolysates is due to variations in meal and hydrolysate processing treatments.

This results in faster correction of anemia and the formulations being better tolerated than oral iron formulations. This triad of logistic advantages, improved patient convenience, and fast correction of anemia explains the fact that intravenous iron formulations nowadays are frequently prescribed worldwide in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia.

Here we show that the nascent RNA can interfere with transcription in human cells, extending our previous findings from bacteria and yeast. We identified a variety of Pol II-binding aptamers (RAPs), prominent in repeat elements such as ACRO1 satellites, LINE1 retrotransposons and CA simple repeats, and also in several protein-coding genes.

Each patient was shown to have a distinctive type of transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (ATTR). ATTR amyloidosis is a life-threatening disease characterised by the extracellular deposition of pathogenic transthyretin (TTR).

A detailed description of the indentation instrumentation is first provided, emphasizing force sensitivity, noise reduction, and signal fidelity. We first present indentation experiments on soft hydrogels that are submerged in water and show how the large contributions to the measured force due to the air-water surface tension can be avoided.
