Background: Men with prostate cancer experience immediate and long-term consequences of the disease and its treatment. They require both long-term monitoring for recurrence or progression and follow-up to identify and help manage psychosocial and physical impacts. Holistic Needs Assessment aims to ensure patient-centered continuing cancer care.

Young people who have fallen through the mental health transition gap: a qualitative study on primary care support.

Background: Owing to poor continuity of care between child and adult mental health services, young people are often discharged to their GP when they reach the upper boundary of child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). This handover is poorly managed, and GPs can struggle to support young people without input from specialist services. Little is known about young people's experiences of accessing mental health support from their GP after leaving CAMHS.

The May-Hegglin anomaly: a rare cause of a common complaint.

May-Hegglin anomaly is the presentation of a qualitative platelet disorder characterised by large platelets, thrombocytopenia and granulocyte inclusions as a result of mutations in the gene. Though often overlooked given its rarity, it should be considered in patients who present with epistaxis, bruising, menorrhagia and easy bleeding as it can be mistaken for other diagnoses resulting in unnecessary treatments and tests. Our case study reports one presentation of this anomaly and can help broaden awareness of the presentation of this type of patient.

Negative pressure wound therapy with instillation and dwell time (NPWTi-d) with V. A. C. VeraFlo in traumatic, surgical, and chronic wounds-A helpful tool for decontamination and to prepare successful reconstruction.

For nearly two decades, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) has been used for temporary wound coverage as well as wound bed preparation. The addition of instillation and dwell time as an adjunct to NPWT (NPWTi-d) enables wound bed cleaning and improved wound bed granulation. Thirty patients with different types of colonised wounds (traumatic, surgical, and chronic) were treated with NPWTi-d using saline for instillation.
