Precisely localizing the spatial distribution of proteins within various brain cell types and subcellular compartments, such as the synapses, is essential for generating and testing hypotheses to elucidate their roles in brain function. While the fms-like tyrosine kinase-3 (Flt3) has been extensively studied in the context of blood cell development and leukemia pathogenesis, its role in the brain remains poorly understood. Previous efforts to address this issue were hindered by the low expression levels of Flt3 and the limited sensitivity of the standard immunolabeling method, which were insufficient to reliably detect Flt3 protein in brain tissue.

Unlabelled: , a Gram-negative pathogen, has emerged as one of the most highly antibiotic-resistant bacteria worldwide and subsequently has become a leading cause of healthcare-associated, life-threatening infections. multidrug efflux Y (MexY) is an efflux pump that belongs to the resistance-nodulation-cell division (RND) superfamily. It is a major determinant for resistance to aminoglycosides in this opportunistic pathogen.

Synergy of antimicrobial combinations was tested against contemporary abscessus isolates using 2-D and 3-D checkerboard assays. Triple combinations of omadacycline-azithromycin-clofazimine, tigecycline-azithromycin-clofazimine, omadacycline-azithromycin-linezolid and omadacycline-azithromycin-contezolid demonstrated synergy (FIC ≤ 0.5) against 33%, 31%, 62%, and 66% of isolates, respectively.

Left without being seen (LWBS) is a quality care metric associated with patient-centered outcomes. The risks affecting LWBS are complex and interventions targeting certain risks have diverse effects. We aimed to use different artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) algorithms to identify the risks affecting LWBS, implement triple interventions specifically targeted at such risks, and compare daily LWBS rate changes before and after the intervention.
