Background: The increase in life expectancy in the general population has led to a rise in the use of hip arthroplasties and consequently, to an increase in the incidence of periprosthetic hip fractures (PPHF). The impact of this type of fracture on patients necessitates a personalized approach to treatment, whether surgical or non-operative, taking into account the trajectory and associated comorbidities.

Methods: We performed a retrospective study of 80 patients over the age of 70 diagnosed with a periprosthetic hip fracture between 2011 and 2018.

Purpose: Instability remains as an unsolved complication after revision total hip arthroplasty (rTHA). Dual mobility (DM) cups have decreased dislocation rate in rTHA; however, there are few clinical studies that evaluate the risk of dislocation after rTHA in patients with high risk of instability.

Methods: Between 2007 and 2019, 95 consecutive rTHA using a DM cup, in 93 patients with instability risk factors were retrospectively reviewed.

Background And Objective: Pelvic tilt influences the relative position between total hip arthroplasty (THA) components. Changes in lumbar spine over time may affect clinical and radiological outcomes of THA during follow-up. We assessed the evolution of pelvic tilt and cup position after THA for a minimum follow-up of five years and the possible appearance of complications.
