Background: To maintain standing balance, vestibular cues are processed and integrated with other sensorimotor signals to produce appropriate motor adjustments. Whole-body vestibular-driven postural responses are context-dependent and transformed based upon head and foot posture. Previous reports indicate the importance of intrinsic foot muscles during standing, but it is unclear how vestibular-driven responses of these muscles are modulated by alterations in stability and head posture.

: A PBPK model allows the prediction of the concentration of drug amounts in different tissues and organs over time and can be used to simulate and optimize different therapeutic protocols in healthy and sick individuals. The objective of this work was to create a PBPK model to predict propofol doses for healthy canines and canines with hepatic impairment. : The study methodology was divided into two major phases, in which the first phase consisted of creating the PBPK model for healthy canines, and in the second phase, this model was adjusted for canines with hepatic impairment.

Within the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) framework, a Nature-based Solution (NbS) using Zostera noltei transplants was tested to restore a historically contaminated intertidal area. In-situ transplantation relied on patches of seagrass and sediment from a Donor meadow and its evolution was monitored for two years. The evaluation of the transplant success encompassed the seagrass coverage area, seagrass biomass, tissue mercury (Hg) accumulation, and photosynthetic efficiency.

Background: The population is aging rapidly worldwide, impacting public health, with countries in the Global South, such as Brazil, aging faster than developed nations. The 24-hour movement behavior is crucial for healthy aging, but its relationship with the neighborhood built environment is underresearched, especially for older adults. The EpiMove Study uses accelerometers and GPS to investigate the relationships between 24-hour movement behavior, community mobility and the neighborhood built environment for healthy aging in older Brazilian adults.
