Objective: To determine bulk billing rates, and mean, median, and 10 and 90 centile fees for outpatient consultations with a psychiatrist in Australia in 2019, by state or territory.
Method: Medicare claims data for bulk billing rates and the mean, median, and 10 and 90 centile for fees charged in Australia in 2019 were requested, for item numbers for initial and ongoing consultations.
Results: There were high rates of bulk billing overall.
Background: The treatment of Gartland type II pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures remains controversial. Some argue that closed reduction and cast immobilization is sufficient to treat these fractures, whereas others advocate closed reduction and percutaneous pinning. The purpose of this radiographic outcomes study was to determine whether closed reduction and cast immobilization could successfully obtain and maintain acceptable reduction of extension type II supracondylar humerus fractures.

The usual methods of tendon transfers after brachial plexus injury were not possible in this case because there were no biceps muscle tendons to which to attach. The method of moving the origin of the common extensor tendon proximally to have it function as an elbow flexor was successful and the patient obtained functional elbow flexion strength.
