Accuracy of a New Augmented Reality Assisted Technique for Total Knee Arthroplasty: An In Vivo Study.

Background: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) remains the standard of care for treating end-stage osteoarthritis of the knee. Approximately 15%-20% of the patients are dissatisfied following surgery. To improve accuracy and outcomes of TKA, various assistive technologies have been introduced.

Numerical modelling for the distribution of Cs and I in the scheldt basin after a potential nuclear accident.

Using the discontinuous Galerkin method in the SLIM modelling framework, we study the transport in the Scheldt basin and adjacent coastal area of radionuclides possibly emitted by Doel nuclear power plant in the aftermath of an accident. The contamination pathways taken into consideration are direct liquid releases into the water and deposition via the atmosphere. In past nuclear accidents, several radionuclides were released, among which, I and Cs were considered herein.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease is associated with worse time in ranges in type 1 diabetes.

Aim: To investigate the relationship between continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)-derived glucometrics and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) in type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Methods: A cross-sectional study collecting data on anthropometrics, glucometrics and MASLD in adults with T1D using a CGM device was conducted. MASLD was assessed by abdominal ultrasound and the presence of at least one cardiometabolic criterion.

Biophysical models resolution affects coral connectivity estimates.

Estimating connectivity between coral reefs is essential to inform reef conservation and restoration. Given the vastness of coral reef ecosystems, connectivity can only be simulated with biophysical models whose spatial resolution is often coarser than the reef scale. Here, we assess the impact of biophysical models resolution on connectivity estimates by comparing the outputs of five different setups of the same model with resolutions ranging from 250 m to 4 km.

Inventory of the terrestrial isopods in Belgium (2011-2020).

This data paper describes a recent and spatially complete inventory of the terrestrial isopods of Belgium between 2011 and 2020. During these 10 years every 10 × 10 km² cell of the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) grid in Belgium (373 grid cells) was visited in search for terrestrial isopods. Inventories covered different habitat types in every grid cell such as forest, wetlands or stream sides, and urban areas.
