We report the draft genome sequences of two strains isolated from wastewater in Galicia (NW Spain). Genomic analysis revealed that both strains harbor multiple genes associated with resistance to sulfonamides, fluoroquinolones, β-latamics, and other drugs.

The zoonotic HEV genotype 3 infects a wide range of mammalian hosts, with swine considered as the primary host. This study investigates the occurrence of HEV among small ruminants in Portugal.

Bacterial defence mechanisms like superinfection exclusion, CRISPR, and restriction-modification systems can hinder phage effectiveness. Innovative strategies, such as combining different phages into cocktails, have been explored to address these challenges.

Its isolation from different hosts and seawater indicated two lifestyles and wide geographical distribution. The aim of the present study was to determine the differences at the genomic level among six strains (4 isolated from clam and 2 from seawater) and to determine their phylogeny.
