Quality indicators for colorectal cancer surgery and care according to patient-, tumor-, and hospital-related factors.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) care has improved considerably, particularly since the implementation of a quality of care program centered on national evidence-based guidelines. Formal quality assessment is however still needed. The aim of this research was to identify factors associated with practice variation in CRC patient care.

Outcome of squamous cell carcinoma of the gingiva: a follow-up study of 83 cases.

Background: Squamous cell carcinomas of the gingiva are relatively rare tumours. Standard treatment is based on surgery and radiotherapy. The extent of bone involvement affects mandibulectary indications.

[Case report forum: the example of French sarcoma group multidisciplinary discussion tools. Sarcomes de la FNCLCC].

Within the Rubis 4th framework of European project is led a pilot experiment of tools and services for health professionals in prospect for the Aquitanian healthcare network. The sarcoma group of the FNCLCC (47 people) uses on its web site a multidisciplinary dialogue with a specific discussion forum. This service allows the anonymous publication of a imaging clinical case and to start a take care discussion.
