The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic severely impacted patients with rheumatic musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs), worsening health disparities, disrupting care, and affecting mental health. RMD patients, especially from marginalized communities, faced heightened COVID-19 susceptibility and severe outcomes. Telemedicine emerged as an important tool for maintaining access to care during the early pandemic period but highlighted disparities in access to the necessary technologies.

Feeding studies with maize grain containing event DP-915635-4 (DP915635), a new corn rootworm management trait, were conducted to fulfill that requirement. Diets fed to Crl:CD®(SD) rats for 90 days contained up to 50% ground maize grain from DP915635, non-transgenic control, or non-transgenic reference hybrids (P1197, 6158, and 6365).

Such evidence can be difficult to build, given the fast-paced and highly pressured nature of healthcare delivery, the absence of incentives, and the presence of barriers in conducting pragmatic yet robust research evaluations. Cancer Research UK (CRUK) has played an active part in building the evidence base through its funding of programmes to identify, evaluate and scale-up innovative approaches across the UK.

Background: CT scans are often the first and only form of brain imaging that is performed to inform treatment plans for neurological patients due to its time- and cost-effective nature. However, MR images give a more detailed picture of tissue structure and characteristics and are more likely to pick up abnormalities and lesions. The purpose of this paper is to review studies which use deep learning methods to generate synthetic medical images of modalities such as MRI and CT.
