Two Cases of FAVA With an Uncommon Localization in Adults.

The fibroadipose vascular anomaly (FAVA) is a relatively unknown vascular anomaly in the realm of adult dermatopathology. Despite its intramuscular location, dermatologists often encounter cases, approaching them surgically under the presumption of a potential lipoma. This entity was first described in 2014, and consequently, many FAVA cases may be concealed in our archives under diagnoses of other entities that require differential diagnoses, such as intramuscular fast-flow vascular anomaly.

Reconstruction Techniques of Choice for the Facial Cosmetic Units.

Background And Objectives: A broad range of skin flaps can be used to repair facial surgical defects after the excision of a tumor. The aim of our study was to develop a practical guideline covering the most useful skin grafts for each of the distinct facial cosmetic units.

Material And Methods: This was a multicenter study in which 10 dermatologists with extensive experience in reconstructive surgery chose their preferred technique for each cosmetic unit.

Cutaneous epithelioid sarcomalike (pseudomyogenic) hemangioendothelioma: a little-known low-grade cutaneous vascular neoplasm.

Importance: Epithelioid sarcomalike (pseudomyogenic) hemangioendothelioma (ES-H) is a recently described and little-known vascular neoplasm that frequently presents with dermatologic lesions. Histopathologic characterization includes sheets or fascicles of plump, spindled and epithelioid, rhabdomyoblastlike neoplastic cells involving the dermis and often extending to subcutaneous tissue. Immunohistochemical analysis reveals neoplastic cells that show a constant immunophenotype characterized by immunoreactivity for cytokeratins and endothelial markers.
