Introduction: Although DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) is the gold standard for breast reconstruction, long-term results with a view to postoperative hairiness and flap skin colouration have rarely been described in the literature.

Despite therapeutic advancements, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a major complication of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). In current models of GVHD, tissue injury induced by cytotoxic conditioning regimens, along with translocation of microbes expressing pathogen-associated molecular patterns, result in activation of host antigen-presenting cells (APCs) to stimulate alloreactive donor T lymphocytes. Recent studies have demonstrated that in many pathologic states, tissue injury results in the release of mitochondria from the cytoplasm to the extracellular space.

Background & Aims: Nucleos(t)ide analogues (NUCs) are the standard and mostly lifelong treatment for chronic HBeAg-negative hepatitis B, as functional cure (loss of HBsAg) is rarely achieved. Discontinuation of NUC treatment may lead to functional cure; however, to date, the evidence for this has been based on small or non-randomized clinical trials. The STOP-NUC trial was designed with the aim of increasing the HBsAg loss rate using a NUC treatment interruption approach.
