The aim of the research described was to study Rb2HPW12O40 as a green and heterogeneous catalyst for the Mannich reaction. One-pot multi-component condensation of an aldehyde, an amine and a ketone at ambient temperature affords the corresponding β-amino ketones using novel nano-sized Rb2HPW12O40. Simple purification, short reaction time and high yield are some of the advantages of this reaction.

In recent years, the chemistry of 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes have received considerable attention owing to their synthetic and effective biological importance which exhibits a wide variety of biological activity, N,N-bis((2-chloroquinolin-3-yl)methylene)benzene-1,4-diamine derivatives that synthesized from 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes may have biological effects. As the inhibitor of AKT1 (RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the AKT1), the aforementioned compounds may have implication in preventing complications of cancers. A group of N, N-bis ((2-chloroquinolin-3-yl) methylene) benzene-1, 4-diamine derivatives (3a-3i) (H, 6-Me, 6-OMe, 6-OEt, 6-Cl, 7-Me, 6-Et, 6-Isopropyl, 7-Cl) were synthesized, and theoretically evaluated for their inhibitory as Potential Human AKT1 Inhibitors via docking process.

Gastroschisis is an uncommon condition which is now being detected at an earlier stage due to the use of routine antenatal ultrasound scanning. The presence of intestinal atresia secondary to impairment of the vascular supply is well recognised and is associated with a poorer outcome because of the potential for loss of bowel length. We report a case of gastroschisis in which there was resorption of the bowel and closure of the abdominal wall defect.

Between 1974 and 1994, 25 colonic interposition procedures were performed for esophageal replacement in 23 cases of esophageal atresia (EA) and 2 corrosive strictures. Nine patients had one-stage and 16 had two-stage reconstructions. The transthoracic route was used in 16 cases (64%) and the retrosternal route in 9 (36%).

We describe a rare case of pancreatic inflammatory pseudotumour that clinically presented as a malignant tumour in an 11-year-old boy. We also review all six previously described cases, including three that occurred in children. Complete surgical removal is regarded as the best choice of therapy, and follow-up in our case showed no evidence of disease after 3 years.
