Background: A randomized controlled trial was designed to compare 1-year morphologic changes of the no-touch saphenous vein (SV) as a Y-composite graft (composite group) vs an aortocoronary graft (aorta group) in coronary artery bypass grafting. This study evaluated early clinical and angiographic outcomes as a preliminary analysis.
Methods: The primary end point of the trial was the intima-media thickness measured by intravascular ultrasound at 1-year angiographic follow-up.
Bio-friendly antibacterial -halamine polymers were used to modify gold nanorods (GNR@pAMPS-Cl), which showed excellent antimicrobial activity against antibiotic-resistant bacteria and accelerated the healing of MRSA-infected wounds. This work provides a new strategy for the preparation of nanoscale antibacterial materials.

Method: We recruited CH study participants (> 65 years) and acquired MRI data analyzed using NeuroQuant. Urine DCAs were quantified using GC-MS.
Background: Gut microbiome features have been linked with many diseases including Alzheimer's disease (AD). Evidence suggests that the gut microbiota may impact cognition of AD patients. We explored the association of gut microbiota and three PACC3 cognitive scores in individuals at risk for AD.
