[Dermoid cysts. Epidemiology, clinical and anatomo-pathologic aspects, therapeutic management].

We retrospectively analyzed a series of 17 tumors suggestive of dermoid cysts operated on from January 1, 1991, through November 30, 1997. Mean patient age was 3.68 years.

[Rhino-genioplasty].

The authors explain the great rules of the nose and chin interventions, isolated or combined. They dwell on the value of a strict analysis of the nose and the whole facial structures. These operations called "profiloplasty" are executed on a balanced face, regarding to its skeletal basis.

[Benign tumor of pilar origin of the upper eyelid. Apropos of a case].

The authors report a case of superior eyelid tumour, pilary originated, trichofolliculoma type. They considered the diagnostic and therapeutic problems about this type of tumour.

[Inferior eyelid reconstruction. Various technics as a function of the length of substance loss].

The authors expose the three technics for the inferior eyelid reconstruction which seem them now the most certain. If the defect is inferior at the quarter of the eyelid: suture with only one junction; if it is included between the quarter and the half of this length: tarso-conjunctival graft and cutaneous flap if it surpasses the half of the eyelid length: nasal chondromucous graft and temporojugal flap.

[Occult adenocarcinoma of the parotid. Apropos of 2 cases].

The authors present two cases of parotid gland adenocarcinomas, without clinical swelling: revealed differently: one by facial paralysis; the other by mandibular extent signs, but setting altogether, some problems to explain their histogenesis; primitive or metastatic adenocarcinoma in the first observation; primary gland tumor, or transformation of a pleomorphic adenoma in the second one. The authors insist on the facial paralysis value, to guide the surgical approach.
