What should be publicly funded in the Colombian health system? A mixed methods study of citizens' perceptions.

Background: In recent years, citizens have become more interested and willing to influence health policy decision-making, and governments worldwide are more prone to citizen engagement in such processes. Prioritising which health technologies should be publicly funded is one decision that requires prudence and consideration of the values and expectations of the people who will be affected by it.

Objective: To identify and understand the citizens' perceptions about which health technologies should be publicly funded in Colombia.

High prevalence of neuroimaging abnormalities in eclampsia: Justifying the routine use of non-contrast CT in resource-limited settings.

Objectives: Eclampsia remains a principal cause of maternal mortality, especially in low- and middle-income countries. The frequent association with Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome (PRES) underscores the critical role of neuroimaging in clinical assessment. We aimed to evaluate tomographic findings in women with eclampsia and analyze clinical factors associated with these abnormalities.

Understanding the Epidemiology of Monkeypox Virus to Prevent Future Outbreaks.

Monkeypox (Mpox) is an infectious disease caused by the Mpox virus belonging to the Orthopoxvirus genus in the Poxviridae family and has been declared by the WHO as a global health emergency owing to its rapid spread during 2022 and 2023. All patients diagnosed with Mpox who were confirmed by PCR between July 2022 and April 2023 were included in this study. In total, 405 patients in whom clade 2 was identified were included.

Inoculation with as a Strategy to Reduce Nitrogen Fertilization in Cultivating Purple Maize ( L.) in the Inter-Andean Valleys of Peru.

Purple maize has gained global significance due to its numerous nutraceutical benefits. However, sustaining its production typically requires high doses of nitrogen fertilizers, which, when applied in excess, can contaminate vital resources such as soil and water. Inoculation with nitrogen-fixing microorganisms, such as those from the genus, has emerged as an alternative to partially or fully replace nitrogen fertilizers.
