Background: Young-onset dementia (YOD) community care requires personalised approaches. Yet, the specific details of YOD consultations are unclear. This study explored how initial consultations correlate with client profiles.

Connectivity of neural signals to the primary motor area during preparatory periods for movement following external and internal cues.

Purpose: We investigated the connectivity of neural signals from movement-related cortical areas to the primary motor area (M1) in the hemisphere contralateral to the movement side during the period of movement-related magnetic fields before movement.

Materials And Methods: Participants were 13 healthy adults, and nerual signals were recorded using magnetoencephalography. Spontaneous extension of the right wrist was performed at the participant's own pace and following a visual cue in internal (IC) and external (EC) cue tasks.

[Three Cases of Unresectable Colorectal Cancer Controlled by Chemotherapy in Combination with Hyperthermia].

Many clinical trials have been conducted in which hyperthermia has been used in conjunction with chemotherapy in the management of unresectable solid tumors. In this regard, promising Phase Ⅱ trial results have been reported. We experienced three cases of unresectable colorectal cancer in which the use of hyperthermia sensitized the effects of anticancer drugs and enabled cancer control.

Inhibitory effect of statins on inflammation-related pathways in human abdominal aortic aneurysm tissue.

HMG-CoA (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A) reductase inhibitors (statins) have been suggested to attenuate abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) growth. However, the effects of statins in human AAA tissues are not fully elucidated. The aim of this study was to investigate the direct effects of statins on proinflammatory molecules in human AAA walls in ex vivo culture.
