Often, after an inpatient stay, early readmission occurs, which is detrimental to the patient. University Psychiatric Clinics Basel developed a 3-month transitional intervention program to bridge inpatient and community treatment by supporting people after their discharge from the psychiatric hospital. In line with international guidelines, this transitional intervention was delivered as assertive community treatment in the homes of people who wished to participate.

Cardiogenic shock (CS) is critical end-organ hypoperfusion attributable to reduced cardiac output. Acute ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction with CS (AMI-CS) has high mortality. Formation of the placenta during gestation is required to support fetal growth and development. Derived from the placenta, trophoblast cells express nuclear and membrane-bound receptors. Among these receptors is the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) which plays a key role in placental development.

Lipocalin family proteins have been shown to bind a vast array of small molecules and have subsequently been adapted to selectively bind specific ligands. In this study, candesartan, an antihypertension drug, was identified to bind mouse and human siderocalin in biomolecular NMR experiments, allowing for structural insights into the candesartan-siderocalin interaction. The ligand binding site was determined through an integrative structural biology approach using in silico ligand docking guided by NMR experiments.

Strokes in the right temporal lobe are known to cause acquired amusia, or deficits in music processing, which can be formally assessed using the online version of the Montreal Battery of Evaluation of Amusia (MBEA). Patients with acquired amusia most often present with not only amusia but also other neurologic symptoms, such as aphasia, neglect, or memory issues. We report a case of a 39-year-old man who initially presented for follow-up after a single seizure episode.
