Skills for Psychological Recovery train-the-trainer program: For care providers of children with special healthcare needs and disabilities during COVID-19 recovery.

Care providers, including both professional and family caregivers, were negatively impacted by the pandemic. In partnership with the Minnesota (MN) Pediatric Care Coordination Community of Practice, the MN Department of Health Regional Behavioral Health Coordinator team provided a 7-week training of trainers in Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR) to care providers of adults and children with special healthcare, mental health needs, and disabilities. The goal of SPR training was to protect the mental health of disaster survivors, enhance their abilities to address needs and concerns, teach skills to promote recovery, and prevent maladaptive behaviors while identifying and supporting adaptive behaviors.

Bone scan with SPECT/CT in children with complex foot and ankle pain: Initial experience of a paediatric tertiary referral centre.

Purpose: This study was designed to review the diagnostic yield of single photon emission computed tomography-computed tomography (SPECT/CT) in children with complex foot/ankle pain.

Methods: We reviewed the records of 33 patients with complex foot and ankle pain referred for SPECT/CT (36 scans) performed between 1st September 2009 to 30th September 2019. All patients had foot and ankle radiographs and 18 out of 33 patients had undergone magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) prior to SPECT/CT.

Professional Clinical Photography to Assist Patients with Pectus Carinatum.

A photographic clinical role has been realized in our institution in the care of patients with Pectus Carinatum. A series of clinical photographs along with 3D imaging are now presented by our photographers to each patient in clinic to demonstrate changes over time in the size and shape of their chest wall defects associated with this condition. This interaction has increased patient compliance for treatment and subsequently reinforces the relevance and importance of clinical photographers in patient care.

Assessment of cesarean delivery availability in 26 low- and middle-income countries: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: We sought to assess the capacity to provide cesarean delivery (CD) in health facilities in low- and middle-income countries.

Study Design: We conducted secondary analysis of 719 health facilities, in 26 countries in Africa, the Pacific, Asia, and the Mediterranean, using facility-based cross-sectional data from the World Health Organization Situational Analysis Tool to Assess Emergency and Essential Surgical Care.

Genetic variants of human parvovirus B19 in South Africa: cocirculation of three genotypes and identification of a novel subtype of genotype 1.

Parvovirus B19 comprises three distinct genotypes (1, 2, and 3). The distribution of B19 genotypes has not before been examined in South Africa. Two hundred thirty-nine laboratory samples submitted to a diagnostic virology laboratory for parvovirus DNA detection were analyzed retrospectively.
