In order to study the optimal use of Lactobacillus plantarum in sea cucumber (Apostichopus japonicus), 49 days feeding trial was conducted to determine the influence of immersion bathing in different concentrations of Lactobacillus plantarum CLY-05 on body weight gain rate and non-specific immune activities. The potential effect of CLY-05 on gut microbiota was also analyzed during the immersion bathing at the optimum concentration. The results showed that the body weight growth rate of all bathing groups was higher than that of control.

Spatial stable isotope tracing metabolic imaging is a cutting-edge technique designed to investigate tissue-specific metabolic functions and heterogeneity. Traditional matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI-MSI) techniques often struggle with low coverage of low-molecular-weight (LMW) metabolites, which are often crucial for spatial metabolic studies. To address this, we developed a high-coverage spatial isotope tracing metabolic method that incorporates optimized matrix selection, sample preparation protocols, and enhanced post-ionization (MALDI2) techniques.

We herein report a photoredox N-S coupling reaction between dialkyl azodicarboxylates and thiols to access sulfenamide scaffolds. This reaction proceeds under mild, green, and operationally simple conditions, offering a broad scope of sulfenamides with high yields and excellent atom efficiency. Mechanistic investigations revealed this reaction followed a photoinitiated radical pathway in which iodide plays a crucial role as both a radical initiator and a single-electron reductant.
