Background: Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) is associated with increased risk of major adverse cardiac and limb events (MACLE). In patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD), evolocumab is associated with decreased MACLE, improved maximal walking time, increased vascular flow-mediated dilation (FMD), and decreased carotid intima-media thickness (IMT). We investigated the additive effect of evolocumab in patients with CLTI on maximally tolerated lipid lowering therapy after an index revascularization for non-healing wounds.

With ordered and periodic network structures, adjustable pore sizes and high chemical stability, covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have drawn much attention for the fabrication of superior separation membranes. However, it is challenging to prepare COF membranes with a molecular sieving property for gas separation due to their relatively large pore size. In this work, we develop the MOF-in-COF concept for vacuum-assisted synthesis of metal-organic framework (MOF) ZIF-8 inside the pores of TB-COF formed from trihydroxy-benzene-tricarbaldehyde (T) and diamino-biphenyl-disulfonic acid (B), thus constructing a novel ZIF-8@TB-COF membrane.

By transforming gene expression data into "cell sentences," C2S bridges the gap between natural language processing and biology. We demonstrate cell sentences enable the finetuning of language models for diverse tasks in biology, including cell generation, complex celltype annotation, and direct data-driven text generation.

Several studies were conducted to determine the diagnostic accuracy in DOC patients to identify prognostic markers and to understand the neural correlates of consciousness. A correct diagnosis of consciousness in unresponsive or minimally responsive patients is important for prognostic and therapeutic management.
