The European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) brings together European umbrella organizations of pan-European neurological patient advocacy groups (www.efna.net) and strives to improve the quality of life of people living with neurological conditions and to work towards relieving the immense social and economic burden on patients, carers and society in general.

National plans and awareness campaigns as priorities for achieving global brain health.

Neurological conditions are the leading cause of death and disability combined. This public health crisis has become a global priority with the introduction of WHO's Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders 2022-2031 (IGAP). 18 months after this plan was adopted, global neurology stakeholders, including representatives of the OneNeurology Partnership (a consortium uniting global neurology organisations), take stock and advocate for urgent acceleration of IGAP implementation.

Prioritization process for European Academy of Neurology clinical practice guidelines.

Background And Purpose: The development of high-quality clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) takes substantial time, effort, and resources. During the past years, the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) guideline production was significantly increased, so the need to develop clear, transparent, and methodologically solid criteria for prioritizing guideline topics became apparent. With this paper, we aim to define a set of criteria to be applied for prioritizing topics for future EAN guidelines, as well as the procedure for their implementation.
