Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is associated with both sleep disturbances and apathy, and within PD, apathy has been associated with REM behavior disorder and excessive daytime sleepiness. Whether other forms of sleep disturbance are similarly associated with apathy in PD remains unclear.
