Purpose Of Review: This review aimed to examine the variability in the susceptibility of the small intestine to injury when exposed to gluten among patients with celiac disease, particularly in the context of gluten cross-contact. It sought to address whether clinicians could recommend individualized gluten exposure levels based on current research to improve patient outcomes and quality of life, given the difficulties of maintaining a strict gluten-free diet.

Recent Findings: While some evidence suggests variability in small intestine susceptibility to injury, no current studies offer a reliable method for clinicians to stratify patients or recommend safe gluten levels.

Objective: In Huntington's disease (HD), cognitive symptoms, sleep fragmentation, and daily activity pattern alterations can occur up to 15 years before diagnosis in premanifest HD (Pre-HD). Whether sleep and rest-activity patterns relate to cognitive function in Pre-HD, however, remains unclear. We investigated the relationships between rest-activity patterns, sleep, and cognitive function in Pre-HD compared to healthy controls (HCs).

Background: This investigation aimed to examine sex-based differences in deoxy[heme] (HHb), tissue saturation (StO), and force-deoxygenation ratio (FD) of the forearm flexor muscles during a maximal-effort intermittent fatiguing handgrip protocol.

Methods: Thirty-three healthy males ( = 15) and females ( = 18) completed a fatiguing handgrip protocol consisting of 60 4 s contractions separated by a 1 s rest. Near-infrared spectroscopy was used to measure muscle oxygenation before, during, and after the protocol.
