Context.—: The adoption of digital capture of pathology slides as whole slide images (WSI) for educational and research applications has proven utility.
Objective.
Radioactive iodine I-131 whole-body scintigraphy is used to monitor thyroid cancer metastases after total thyroidectomy. We present a case of a woman who was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer and underwent a total thyroidectomy. I-131 scintigraphy revealed abnormal accumulation of radioactive iodine in the right breast causing concern for thyroid cancer metastasis.

Sarcoidosis is an immunologic disease of unknown etiology that manifests most frequently within the lungs or associated lymph nodes. Sarcoidosis involving the breast is seen in <1% of cases and usually is diagnosed in patients with multisystem disease. The clinical and imaging presentations of sarcoidosis of the breast can be variable.

Methods: Consent from the family for an autopsy was obtained, clinical records and radiograms were retrieved. A complete autopsy was performed, with brain examination after fixation and coronal sectioning at 1 cm intervals.
